As the weather hasn't been so warm we haven't been having them out on the lawn so much - instead we take them out for 10 mins toilet activity and exercise before each meal. It is rather chaotic and I will upload a video shortly. I open the pen inside and they all pile out '101 Dalmation' style. I am teaching them to come when called and when I clap my hands (only because it seems to get their attention better than a whistle). They follow me out through the kitchen to the patio, and then spend their time there chasing Welli around. He is 12 1/4 and loves puppies, but doesn't like the way they bite his ankles. So he runs away and then comes back repeatedly. They find him very entertaining. Today he learnt that he could watch them from the raised flower bed instead - well I say 'flower' bed but to be honest it seems to be mostly weeds since the puppies have dominated our lives.
Gretel's new owner came yesterday - Amanda. Her friend is an excellent photographer and some of her pictures are below.
The other words I am trying to teach them are 'Shh' (with a scruff of the neck) if one of them is really letting rip when the others are asleep or quiet, and 'down' (when they are climbing the wallls when I am trying to open or shut the pen to get in or out) - that one really isn't sinking in at the moment !

Gretel in a box - we go through several boxes a day. Cardboard toys are the only sensible ones really as they do tend to get rather soiled. They have boxes, loo rolls, plastic bottles, balls and fleece tug of war strips to play with.

On the patio this morning - Welli joyful in his newly found safe place, where the ankle-biters can't reach him.

Trapped in their garden pen !
From left to right : Bella, Bear, Flossy, Ziggy, Storm
They are fully weaned now onto James Wellbeloved Fish and Rice puppy food. Initially we soaked it in puppy formula milk, but now we just soak it in water, and they are starting to enjoy the unsoaked biscuits as well - something for them to cut their teeth on other than my toes !
They are good eaters and are on 4 good feeds a day + ad lib water (which they are now drinking instead of using as a bidet).

And the secret was, that my brother is keeping Bear - here is a picture of his daughter Lily with her over Easter weekend. It is lovely for us, as we will watch her grow up and be able to see her regularly. We will look forward to many caravan holidays with our Boxer collection.
There are so many pictures on here now you need to click on Older Posts at the bottom of each page to follow through to the previous page with more pictures and video clips.

Over Easter all the puppies have met their new owners. Pictures below. You will notice that Bear is missing from the list - and that is because she is a secret at the moment, and I can't put her on the blog until the family have been told about the new arrival. I also don't have a picture of Amanda with Gretel - but she is coming for a 2nd visit soon and I will put their picture up shortly.

Ray and Gemma will be having Storm - here is Ray's first kiss :

Really sorry for lack of pictures. Very busy week and we now have family staying until Sunday. Over the next few days the future owners will be choosing their puppies, and by Monday afternoon we should know where all but 1 puppy will be going; and another lady wants to come next Thursday.

The puppies are out in the garden pen a bit during the lovely warm weather. They are growing so fast - Ruby especially, who has outgrown all the others and is now 80g heavier than Ziggy. They are enjoying having so many people around this week and we are enjoying watching them - but they are a lot of hard work and, as much as I adore them, it will be a relief to be down to one in 3 weeks time.

It has been a tough decision, but we have decided we will be keeping Ziggy. We spent a lot of time cuddling her over the weeks, in an attempt to stop her bullying her siblings off the best teats, and so we all have a bond with her.
So, no apologies for the fact she appears in a lot of this weekend's photos - starting here with her asleep 10 minutes ago.
