Darcy's temperature has dropped to 37.2 C and her spine and the top of her ribs are starting to be visible, as the weight of her belly pulls everything down. She's eating fairly enthusiastically though, and is very relaxed so I don't think they'll be arriving tonight.
She loves to lie on her side with 1 leg in the air so you can stroke her tummy and feel the puppies moving.
Weight-wise I am pleased with her condition - she looks well covered without being in any way fat. She isn't eating the quantity of food that the books suggest, but it is high calorie puppy food and she looks as if she's getting enough. I offer her 4 meals a day but she will only eat 3 - she's never been a keen eater.
We're keeping the walks down to 20 mins now and because the weather is lovely she can enjoy being outside in the garden a lot.
I picked up a mountain of newspapers today, from a friend who has been stockpiling them for me.
